Good Morning my very blessed and highly favored family.  This is my birthday month.  The number 8 is a blessed number New Beginnings...it is also the number for justice.  I believe things are happening for me.  I am at a pivotal point in my life and I am excited as things transform and they are transforming....
Now, it is also my 50th birthday....blessed again.  A year of jubilee a new freedom and I feel that happening to me already.  I am walking through all the things that lead up to jubilee....(bible scholars) check the events to jubilee  great info.
Well my dilemma is a simple one.....I am a little indecisive and I am asking your opinion.  You know I am a natural salt and pepper hair girl and I believe that it makes me look old and of course looking old can make you feel old. So I thought I would actually put some thought into this.
I  have done the short blonde look it was cute but too much attention was needed.  I have done the browns hey but I am brown, the reds are cute and black seems to be fitting to me at this point in life.  Now I am not trendy dont know what is in style but asking what you think.
Do I go back to black or try something else.  Last year was burgundy and  dark cherry but  the gray turns a little pink.

Any suggestions?

Something about darker tone black women with all blonde hair doesn't set right with me, which is why it probaly brought so much attention.

What would be cute would be some blonde highlights that way when your gray want to reappear it want stand out so much and you want break your neck trying to hurry and color it. Something like this would be cute on you...  And yes  I am still working on that venue location.

or this if you want to be bolder Long curly black hair style

Girl this would be very cute if I had the skin, the age and the body to pull it off.  I am old just dont want to look 50 I will settle for looking 38 to 40.  But I will keep this picks and keep playing with the idea.  Thanks you know I value your opinion.  And up hurry up with the venue Missy I am getting excited!!!!  LOL (love ya)

Aint nothing about you old DIVA, nothing, your look, your grace, your style, says  youth is here to stay.  You look wonderful and wisdom comes from your mouth is a good thing to have people say about you.
I on the other hand....look in the mirror and see and old woman in the making.  I watch my 84 yr old mother move around and I see her face when I look in the mirror and when I past a mirror I see her standing in it all bent over with bad posture.  My mother is in good health but is a hypochondriac (spelling) I want to look in the mirror and see me.  I want to see the me that I should see I want the physical and the mental to line up.  I am working on the physical.....I look at this head filled with gray hair and realize I cant not stop it from graying but I can certainly not accept that old look.  I am overcoming ....the whole "old" persona.....If I can get to a place in life where I can look at myself and say a 50 year old one lives in this house (body) by there is absolutely nothing old about her....just beauty and wisdom  that is my goal.  Keep looking like a spring chicken DD it looks good on you.

Well, honey - I encourage you to change your way of thinking about YOU!  You are wonderfully and marvelously made...I too have gray hair...and so what!? LOL....I am a Clairol woman...and WILL use a rinse in a minute!  I thought I was ready to embrace the gray...but oh no...after the separation from my husband...I decided to do something different and darkened my hair - and it works for me.

It's all about how you feel about yourself, Di...Don't look at your mother...don't look at her, thinking it could be you...DO YOU!  If I looked at how my mom looked at 60...and worried that it would be me...I'd be in trouble...she died at 60 years old...with numerous health issues...and that was one of the reasons I was determined the "like mother/like daughter' scheme of things was not for me.

Embrace yourself...love yourself...be happy with yourself...you are beautiful...Yes, you're an "old woman in the making..." but don't let the 'making' consume you to the point that you are not happy with what/who you are!

Much love to you!

Good Morning Di!  I like Rhonda's suggestions of blonde highlights
